What Is Excel V+?
Excel V+ is a laser treatment system that primarily treats vascular skin concerns like broken capillaries, spider and varicose veins, rosacea, port wine stain birthmarks, and cherry angiomas.
About Excel V+
Excel V+ is among the most advanced vascular lasers on the market. By delivering two clinically proven laser wavelengths, 1064 nm and 532 nm, excel V+ can address more than 20 treatment indications.
The versatility of excel V+ is demonstrable. It features both a large 16 mm spot size, 50% more power relative to its predecessor, and allows for faster treatments on the face and chest. Excel V+ also features a small, pen-like handpiece available in a 1 or 2 mm spot size, that facilitates the tracing of small vessels and lesions, especially around the nose for targeted treatments.
The 532 nm wavelength is a primary choice for the treatment of superficial vascular lesions. The 532 nm wavelength can also be used to remove unwanted pigment on the face and body.
Another advantage of the 532 nm wavelength is the ability to address both hemoglobin and melanin (reds and browns) at the same time.
The 1064 nm laser is particularly effective in the treatment of deeper blood vessels and vascular concerns that are blue or purple. This includes veins in the legs, venous lakes, venous malformations, and port-wine stains.
The enhanced excel V+ offers a greater range of spot sizes and versatility. These advances allow for a speedier and more comfortable experience for our patients. The new pencil-sized tip allows for more precise beam delivery for smaller lesions. The combination of the 532 nm and 1062 nm wavelengths allows for the treatment of vascular and pigmentation conditions, whether superficial or deep, with a single device.
What to Expect During Treatment
Your Excel V+ laser treatment follows a straightforward process designed for your comfort and safety:
- The provider will outline the problematic veins.
- You and the provider will put on pairs of laser-protective safety glasses.
- Using the excel V+ Laser, the provider will use a pen-like tool to zap away the target veins.
- In under 30 minutes, your treatment will be done.
- Because excel V+ is a 100% external treatment, you can resume your normal activities right away.
Because excel V+ Laser treatments are completely non-invasive, there are no incisions, no needles, and very little recovery time. Patients receiving excel V+ treatment have said that it feels like quick, tiny stinging and cooling sensations.

Frequently Asked Questions
You may be a good candidate for Excel V+ if you want to improve visible vascular or pigmentation concerns such as spider veins, broken capillaries, rosacea, cherry angiomas, or sun damage. During your consultation, our team will evaluate your skin type, medical history, and treatment goals to determine whether Excel V+ is the right option for you.
The number of treatments depends on the condition being treated, its severity, and your skin’s response. Some patients see noticeable improvement after a single session, while others achieve the best results with a series of treatments. Your provider will recommend a personalized treatment plan during your consultation.
The timeline for results varies depending on the type of vascular or pigmentation concern being treated. Some patients notice improvement within a few weeks, while others continue to see changes as the body gradually clears treated blood vessels or pigmented areas. Multiple treatments may be recommended to achieve optimal results.
Excel V+ can permanently treat many of the targeted blood vessels and pigmented lesions. However, it does not prevent new vascular or pigmentation concerns from developing over time due to factors such as aging, sun exposure, genetics, or certain medical conditions. Maintaining good skin care habits and protecting your skin from the sun may help prolong your results.
Yes. Excel V+ is designed to treat multiple vascular and pigmentation concerns in a single appointment, when appropriate. Because the system uses two different laser wavelengths, it can address a variety of superficial and deeper skin concerns as part of a customized treatment plan.
Excel V+ is safe for many skin types when performed by a trained provider, but not every patient is an ideal candidate. Your provider will evaluate your skin tone, medical history, and treatment goals to determine whether Excel V+ is appropriate and to develop a treatment plan that prioritizes both safety and results.
Yes. Excel V+ can often be combined with other aesthetic treatments as part of a personalized treatment plan.
