Which Facial Treatment Is Right for You?

Your skin is the largest organ in your body and serves, in part, as a barrier against pathogens, environment, pollutants and toxins. As such, it’s easy for your skin to become dull, dry, and weathered. While a good at-home regimen can help protect your skin against the elements, sometimes it’s beneficial to get a professional facial treatment to restore its health and vitality.

At Eterna Vein & Medical Aesthetics in Puyallup, Washington, our expert team of aestheticians works with you to determine which of our many facial treatments will be most beneficial for your unique needs.

Facial treatment benefits

Each of our facial treatments is designed to cleanse, exfoliate and hydrate your skin. We first analyze your skin type and the level of aging, select products based on those, and consider your aesthetic goals. Our aesthetician then performs a deep cleansing followed by the selected treatment, applying nourishing masques and hydrating products to leave your skin feeling refreshed, renewed, and with a youthful glow.

We perform our facials in a calm, soothing environment, which allows you to relax while we do all the work. Benefits include:

  • Deeply cleanse your skin and pores

  • Improves dry or oily skin

  • Rejuvenates mature skin

  • Improves skin conditions like acne or rosacea

Which treatments are available?

We have a menu of options available to choose from.

HydraFacial

This 60-minute HydraFacial treatment delivers long-term skin health and can be tailored for all different skin types. It removes dead skin cells (exfoliates), extracts excess oil from the pores, and bathes the new skin with cleansing and hydrating serums. The treatment is non-irritating and immediately effective, offering noticeable results with no downtime.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peels come in light, medium, and deep formulations. Each formulation uses an active solution on your skin to “peel” away layers of dead skin cells containing a variety of imperfections, while stimulating new cell growth by promoting collagen production.

A chemical peel can improve:

  • Acne or acne scars

  • Fine lines and wrinkles

  • Sun-damaged skin

  • Irregular skin pigmentation

  • Rough skin and scaly patches

Microdermabrasion

Microdermabrasion uses and advanced diamond tip wand, gently exfoliating the skin’s top layer. This reduces the signs of aging and makes the skin look more even. It’s safe to use on any skin tone.

People look to microdermabrasion to address:

  • Dull complexion

  • Uneven skin tone and/or texture

  • Age spots

  • Dark spots that appear after acne clears up

  • Melasma, the formation of dark spots or patches on the skin

  • Mild Scars

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning, also called microplaning or blading, uses an exfoliating blade to scrape dead and dry skin cells and hair from your face.

Our aesthetician skillfully applies a sterile blade at a 45-degree angle and drags it slowly across your skin, removing dead cells and fine facial hair that make your skin look uneven. What you see when you look in the mirror is a layer of newer, healthier skin cells.

Microneedling

Microneedling uses very fine needles that prick the skin. These micro-injuries provoke the body’s healing response, which generates new collagen production in the skin’s middle layer. The new collagen reduces fine lines and wrinkles and creates a fresh layer of skin that’s smoother and more even-toned. The treatment can be used to treat scars, wrinkles, and large pores.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

PRP takes advantage of the body’s natural regenerative properties. After our tech draws a small vial of blood from your arm, they spin it down in a centrifuge, separating out the platelets from the other blood components. Platelets are full of growth factors and attract even more to the area of an injury. The platelets may be injected into an injured site, or, as with microneedling, the PRP may be spread on your face to enter the “wounds” and encourage new cell production, resulting and a more youthful, brighter complexion.

EternaGold

This advanced microneedling treatment uses a blend of Botox® (a neurotoxin that can relax tight muscles), hyaluronic acid, and skin growth factor to promote new collagen production, shrink pores, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and give your skin an overall glow.
