December 15th, 1948 - January 23rd, 2020
ROBERT W. OSBORNE JR.
Dr. Osborne was a founding member of a leading vascular center in the Pacific Northwest where he and his partners handled all disciplines within vascular pathologies.
Robert Wesley Osborne, Jr. was born on December 15, 1948 in Pierre, South Dakota. He was raised in Tacoma, Washington and graduated from Charles Wright Academy in 1967. After obtaining a degree in chemistry from the University of Washington, he earned his medical degree at George Washington University. He pursued a general surgery residency at the University of Colorado and his vascular surgery residency at the University of Arizona.
Following his training, he moved back to Tacoma where he became a founding member of Cascade Vascular Associates, which soon became a leading vascular center in the Pacific Northwest. During his years of practice, Dr. Osborne was highly regarded by patients and colleagues alike, and undoubtedly saved many lives.
After 31 years and choosing not to make the move to corporate medicine, Dr. Osborne decided to narrow his practice to the treatment of venous disease and in June 2013 opened Eterna Vein & Medical Aesthetics along with his wife Karyn.
Dr. Osborne worked only a couple of years at Eterna before symptoms leading to a diagnosis of Parkinson Disease forced his early retirement. He spent his last years in Edmonds with his wife, enjoying the proximity to his children and grandchildren. Family was more important than anything to Dr. Osborne and he enjoyed every minute with them in the last years of his life.
Dr. Osborne died on January 23, 2020 and is deeply missed by his Eterna family.
